Orange Glowing Objects Seen Over Orland Park Illinois

Date: July 4, 2010
Time: 10:00 p.m.

My entire family and I also witnessed strange objects in the sky on the 4th of July, 2010 over Orland Park, Illinois (a southwest suburb of Chicago). While sitting outside on the driveway, enjoying the local fireworks, we saw something tracking at a fairly quick pace across the sky from South to North.

It was at almost exactly 10:00pm. The object had a steady orange glow to it and traveled in a straight line. It was the brightest and largest (natural) light in the sky, aside from the moon, and made no sound whatsoever.

We watched in awe until we lost sight of it in the darkness. About 2 minutes later, we caught sight of another object, identical to the first. It traced the exact same flight path as the one prior. They both appeared to be flying below cloud level. If you receive any more information about what this might be, we would certainly appreciate your input. This was definitely not something you see every day! Thank You!

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
